Every one of these is a property we book into ourselves. Rates are per night, before season and weekend. Send your dates and how many of you there are, and we'll tell you which ones are free.
Our own rooms, in Valparai itself — most guests end up here. It's minutes from the market and the bus stand, and the one property we can promise everything about.
The biggest of the six, near Sholayar Dam on the quiet side of the plateau. The only property with its own kitchen — breakfast and dinner are cooked in the house.
Rooms set out in the estates, a short drive from town. It's quiet enough to hear the wind in the tea, and you're back in town in ten minutes.
In Valparai town itself, closest to the shops and the bus stand. The easy choice if you're arriving after dark or want to eat out.
A cottage of your own with its own sitting area, set apart from the main house. Couples and small groups take this one.
You get the whole villa — one booking, no other guests anywhere on the property. The rate is for the villa, not for a bed.

Smaller, quieter, and set apart from the main house. Hot water round the clock, and a window that looks out over the tea.

Nothing here is luxury and we won't pretend otherwise. It's clean, warm, well-fed and quiet — which at 1,067 metres is most of what you want.

Good to know
Rooms are booked for 24 hours — check in from 12:00 PM, check out by 11:00 AM. If the room is free before or after that, we can usually give you an extra hour or two. Just ask at reception, don't assume it. Bring warm layers — evenings drop sharply once the mist comes in, even in April. Mobile signal is patchy across the estates and Wi-Fi isn't reliable anywhere in Valparai, which most guests end up enjoying.
Elephants move through the estates at night. If you're staying somewhere with an open compound, the staff will tell you which paths to avoid after dark. Take that seriously.
